I recently came across the Memory Palace where the authors presents very quirky bits of history such as this mp3 file presented in episode 4.
The Q code is a standardized collection of three-letter signals, all starting with the letter "Q", initially developed for commercial radiotelegraph communication, and later adopted by other radio services, especially amateur radio.
The 365 Days Project was produced in 2003 [update: and in 2007], by Otis Fodder. The concept behind it is quite simple: release one sound file per day for the year 2003, starting on January first. The challenge resulted not only in maintaining the daily posting, but also offering obscure (and for the most part out-of-print) recordings.
